Barrow 6th Form College

Barrow 6th Form College has undergone significant improvements in both architectural & interior design. Working alongside HPA Architects Form Interior developed a light and positive visual theme relating to the locality of the college and Barrow’s outlook over the sea and the Lake District. The scheme links through from the refurbished Reception, the new independent study suite & hot-desking room and continues into the IT suite, counselling rooms & meeting rooms. Form Interior worked with Holly Acland to develop Illustrations integrated as large format artworks in many of the newly refurbished areas. The college is a complex arrangement of buildings so colour coded transition areas between corridors plus colour coded signage were developed as part of the interior scheme to zone the areas and aid circulation around the buildings.
