Nurtur House Sheffield

Nurtur House is a high quality Student Residence in my original home town Sheffield. Referencing the surrounding countryside we created a calm mood with colours and shapes from nature and kept a feeling of openness and space within the scheme. Including bespoke detailing such as hand drawn screen printed panels referencing the famous landmarks of the city, a bespoke plywood map highlighting the nature and river systems that run through the landscape and mixing a tiny touch of the industrial with timber in the counter & cladding create a sense of place. We designed a comforting Home Room for get-togethers and group dinners to encourage social connections. The Calm Room caters for yoga and mindful exercise, the well being & study rooms bring touches of the natural world in through their finishes and the scheme includes a beautifully calm garden and roof terrace.
